Cherry Hill, the largest township in Camden County, is home to about 70,000 residents and over 5,000 businesses. Covering 24 square miles, Cherry Hill is a bustling urban/suburban municipality with over 100 distinctive neighborhoods.

Families, individuals of all ages, and businesses have found investment in property to provide consistently high returns, due to Cherry Hill's outstanding environment, which features award-winning schools, a new high-tech public library, and top-quality municipal services and management, including particularly state-of-the-art police and fire protection. From quaint town homes on tree-lined (yes, cherry tree-lined) streets to upscale condominiums and first-time home buyer opportunities, Cherry Hill offers a high-quality living style.

Cherry Hill public schools are consistently rated among the best in the state by New Jersey Monthly magazine. With 50 parks and playgrounds sprinkled liberally across the 24 square miles of the township, youth activities abound. Growing active adult communities for the over-55 set take advantage of the ease of living in town. The Cherry Hill Library and the Garden State Discovery Museum (an interactive children's museum) provide focal points for residents of all ages.

Cherry Hill lies east of Camden in the Delaware Valley. Leni-Lenape Indians, the original inhabitants of the region, co-existed peacefully with the English settlers, followers of William Penn, who arrived in the late 1600's. In 1695, the English formed the community of Waterford Township, one of the original townships of old Gloucester County. The community had a long, varied, and successful existence as an agricultural center and mill town. An 1886 description of Delaware Township, as the town began to be called in 1844, depicted a "prosperous agricultural community" composed chiefly of gristmills and carriage-making shops. The agricultural nature of the community remained unchanged until the 1920's, when the area began to see its first housing growth. Homes were built in Hinchman, Locustwood, Colwick, Erlton, Barlow, and East Merchantville. A second development of homes occurred following the Second World War with a dramatic increase in population. In 1940, the Township had 5,811 residents. By 1960 the town had grown to 31,500, less than half the 2000 census of 69,900.

Today Cherry Hill offers the convenience of luxury homes in urban/suburban settings, solid commercial property investment potential, and high-quality lifestyle. First-time home owners find their next homes in town, active adults find semi-rural homes with some room to move around, families of all kinds find easy-access living.
